88-98 Front crossmember in 67-72 frame?

I would only imagine this topic has been covered numerous times but I cant find anything with search.

So I know a 73-87 front crossmember bolts directly into the 67-72 frame but I'm having a hard time finding one. But there are tons of 88-98 trucks being parted out around here. Would it fit? I read a post where a guy said he put a 91 front crossmember in his 71 but he gave no details.

Thanks!

No, those frames had the crossmember made into the frame. If someone said they used a 91, it could have been a R series this is a Suburban I think and it was square a LOT longer than the trucks. Jim
