38 Degrees Celsius outside but that won't stop the C10 builds on new years eve..

Got the inner frame structures in today, also got the front drop members back on, now just the rear notches to go..

Back into it today, thankfully the weather was a bit cooler, got all the rear stripped and both rear notches installed...

Got the 2nd chassis back from powder coat, it has now been assembled and both are at the same stage now, wheels are due to land here around the end of the month, then we can mock up the rear and make the diff housings.

That looks nice man. On the raised bed floor did you spot weld the square tubing to the inner bed sides? I couldn't tell in the video

I would like to see more details on how you raised the bed too. What size square steel is that? 1/2"?

Thanks

The tube is 1", I have welded tabs on the ends which have holes drilled, then I put nutserts into the bedside so the frame could be screwed to the bed side, I will take some closer photos and post them up on the weekend

Cheers

Re: The Old Blue 68 - USA to OZ....

Little update,

We fitted the 6L90E trans on the weekend, unfortunately it's a tad big to suit the Porterbuilt frame stifner so we had to do a little modifying, we cut the front 2 arms off and will re fabricate new ones to go around the trans, I looks as though we may have to cut the top hoop off as well to fit the tail shaft in but that is no big issue.
