Re: pic of your throttle cable?

It comes out the nipple on your firewall and goes to the stop on the carb. Not much else to it on mine. Maybe you need a shorter one after your swap...???

Re: pic of your throttle cable?

Give us some more details, and I'd be happy to take a photo of the presumably factory original configuration of my 1980 K10 Suburban. What year are you looking for? Is it an I6 or V8? Manual or Auto (though I don't know why that would make a difference, it seems important to ask).

More details and I'm sure you'll get more detailed responses.

Re: pic of your throttle cable?

It's a 1984 c10 it was a 305 700r4 truck i took out the 305 and put in a 350 but still running the qudrajet and same distributor. i think that i pushed it all over the place to get it out of the way and i think it's not going right. I can't take pictures right now because it's at the exhaust shop but mine isn't going straight it's yeah kind if like an s shape.

Re: pic of your throttle cable?

The throttle cable has to have that "pigs tail" curve to it. Don't try to go straight from the firewall to the bracket:

Blowing a engine mount,(turning the block) some old car/trucks ,on WOT,would pull the cable /tighter.so you want some slack there.some guys even chain down the block
