Printed circuits
Are they all created equally? Does a certain company have a better quality one available or are they all made in the same sweat shop?

I am guessing you are referring to gauge cluster printed circuit boards? Most of the time (90%) a failure of the printed circuit board is caused by something other than the board itself. Voltage spikes from a stuck voltage regulator is a common cause. Anything that creates to much amp draw in the circuit is not good. To answer you question, I prefer counterpart cluster parts. I also carry a large number of original GM circuit boards in my inventory. Hope this helps, Take care, Tom

Re: Printed circuits
You are correct, guage cluster printed circuit.
Mine had an attempted repair by he previous owner. I thought it all worked at one time (I could be wrong), but I got it out the other night for a show and quickly realized that all but one guage light was not working. Further inspection revealed that a wire had been soldered in across the very top of the board, and had come loose on one end and it looks like the other end is torn. Is there a brand I should stay away from?
