bushwhacker style flares on a lowered c10

A couple of buddies and I were in the shop working on my c10 got to talking about wide wheels, and the conversation turned to fender flares. Long story short, has anyone put a pocket flare on there lowered c10? We googled it and came up with nothing. Im really interested to see what it looks like.

I would be interested in this too. My fleetside dually doesn't have as much clearance for the outer wheel as I'd like when I pass 5500lbs in the bed. I just wonder what it will look like on any 2wd truck.

Bushwacker does make a smaller flare,Or Xenon makes flares also http://teamxenon.com/blog/xenongtsty...lo-canyon-all/ On the dually fares you could widen them. Some people have done it just cut it down the middle and widen it as much as you want.

Re: bushwhacker style flares on a lowered c10

My dually was born a cab and chassis flat bed so i have a corporate 14 dually squeezed under a standard fleetside long bed. The outer wheel is about an inch wider than the bed so if I loaded it enough and hit a bump hard enough it could hit. Obviously with 14K gross springs I would have to pretty much jump it for it to hit but I like to have a solution prepared for my potential problems.

Here are a couple pics

The flares would just be trim for me having chopped the bed that high and maybe to keep some of the water down that those outer wheels sling right at my side mirrors too.

Nevermind the outers, what kind of clearance do you have on those inners? I like how that looks.

Re: bushwhacker style flares on a lowered c10

I have the angle grinder kind of clearance in there This set up only works on crew cab C&C trucks since they all have the same 56" cab to axle that standard Gm longbeds are. Regular cab C&Cs the "longbed" is 60" cab to axle and the extra long is like 110" IIRC so no regular beds fit. The dually C&Cs are easy to spot because they all had that corporate 14 and it's hard to mix that up with a dana 70 dually.

Here a pic of the tubs cut and relocated, I just have some stiff sheet metal covering the gaps until I get around to the body work cause this is my primary work truck. It only has 42" between the wheel wells now so pallets and sheets of plywood or sheetrock no longer fit between. If I didn't tub the inner wells I wouldn't have been able to carry a couple hundred pounds cause there is no clearance on the inside, the bed rail is an inch and half above the tire before you cut it.

Sorry to hijack the thread.
