1985 k10 transmission problems
I just got a k10 it was originally a 305 truck but someone replaced it with a souped up 350. I was driving it home after i just bought it and i lost third gear. When i got home i noticed there is a cable just sitting on the intake next to the carb. The carb isn't original has a edelbrock intake and edelbrock 600cfm carb. Im pretty sure the cable is the TV cable. There is no place on the carb to hook it up. So i'm thinking the person who switched the carb out didn't get the kit to mount the tv cable to it. Anyone know where i can get a good kit?

A lot of parts stores carry them in the performance, carb / intake area.

I'm not even that mad that 350 in it screams. I have no idea whats been done to it. All i see is the edelbrock carb and intake.

Re: 1985 k10 transmission problems
I have been told by a trans shop that you need to use the TV cable support that is bolted to the intake to keep the right cable angle to prevent kinks and twist. It will also help in the adjustment.

Re: 1985 k10 transmission problems
If you have an edelbrock carb and manifold they have a bracket specifically made for this purpose Make sure someone who knows what they are doing looks at this for you
