Drag racing with bags
I am debating how to lower my 71 in my avatar but I don't want to hurt the weight transfer. I am debating between tubular control arms and drop springs or bags? Has anyone raced a truck with bags on it? If so how did it hook.

I know that people use bag's inside the rear coil spring's for drag racing, but up front I would think for weight transfer would be slower...

to soft, a great deal of energy would be lost in the cars take off due to the softness of the air bag.

springs vs. bags for drag racing
Kevin,
The main difference that I see is that the bags do not really have stored energylike a spring does. For the best weight transfer you want a long spring that compresses a good bit which gives it more stored energy to throw the front end up in the air when it takes off. PM me and we can talk about it if you want. Tom |
