Reverse problems-please help

Alright, straight to it, my truck wont go in reverse. when I shift it to R, it creeps back a little, but when I step on the gas it just revs but still creeps back at the same speed. I checked the fluid and it looks like it needs more which ill get tomorrow, but could it be anything else? it goes forwards fine in drive and low. whats wrong?

Fluid needs to be full. Then, if it still doesn't move in reverse but moves forward in the forward gears, it's time for a rebuild.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Reverse problems-please help

Not sure what trans you have but I had an 84 blazer with a 700r4 that reverse went out in followed shortly by first. Never fixed it just sold it. Not sure if the 700 has a reverse band/sun shell? that can be adjusted externally by dropping the pan. Its a pain in the ass I know, just lived with a suburban with no reverse for almost 3 months but it had a 4l80e.
