Re: Leg room

I was told you can get more room by moving the gas tank. Using a bench seat that the top sits below the cab line, the brackets can be moved back, giving a couple of inches? Also, told the steering column can be moved towards the dash- with minor changes to the shaft?
Local guy with a '67 told me this

Re: Leg room

6' 6" 210 lbs. I'm with you. Still looking for a solution to the crammed in seating position. The stock bench seat in my '70 CST is too nice to replace so I'm looking at shortening the mounting assembly.

I find I have even less room in my '69 GMC but that might be due to needing my left leg positioned for the clutch.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
