Steel Blazer Tank Conversion Install
Anyone done the steel Blzer tank conversion in a P/U? Looking for pictures or advise on things to look out for when doing it. Received my new tank kit yesterday.

Steel Blazer Tank
Just put in the steel tank about a month ago. The main problem will be the bed support that is in the way of the tank's filler neck. If you try to mount the tank tabs in the factory frame holes it will put the filler neck right in the middle of the bed support. I bent the tabs down and slid the tank about 2" back so the filler neck is to the rear of the bed support. The only other thing is fabricating a filler location. Determine if you want to cut through the fleetside or not, if not, you can run it up through the floor of the truck behind the drivers wheel well inside the bed.
Any questions, just e-mail me. 72 longbed philwec@fast.net |

Here is a pic of a "Kick Butt" way to do the filler neck. I will be redoing mine this way!

That does look cool. I also like the flip down tail light lense version.

I am in the process of installing a poly tank with the filler location just like this. Go to http://www.classicheartbeat.com/ under the How to section Wes posted the instructions along with more pictures.
