I agree. I still say $5,500 tops.
For 10 grand I think you could find a project that's had much more put into it than that '59.
I paid $3,500 for this one in 2011. It did have some rust but I fixed it all myself and the patch panels and braces I bought totaled $700. I drove it around a bunch before starting the restomod on it for my wife. I did find it later that driving it was a little dangerous because the tie rod ends were sloppy. Got a little lucky there.
