It's not "base timing". It is called "cam offset". Zero degrees is ideal but they allow +/-4. Warm engine to operating temp, watch "cam offset" in data stream, bring RPGs ro 1000 and adjust by turning distributor. While you're in there with the Verus take a look in "misfire data" to see which cylinders are missing

Right on, the book for this is nealy impossible to find, been using a chevy p/u book.. Ill let u know how she do thanks again

w4500, I'm assuming that's an Isuzu NPR with a GMC emblem.
The engine is the exact same as the engine in a pick up. The only exception is oil pan and oil pick up. All The info in the chevy Book will be accurate. We worked on several NPRs. |
