Ultimate Rides 68 GMC
Hey everyone. My name is Nathan and ill be posting about a shop truck we're building over here in Phoenix. The shop is Ultimate Rides and the truck is a 68 GMC. It started life as a 3/4 ton long bed and will become a 1/2 ton short bed. There is a long list of modifications to come after we get it completely disassembled and some of the old sheet metal out of the way.

Re: Ultimate Rides 68 GMC
Thank you for welcoming me guys. I have to agree with you 3ontree it does look super long in that picture. I haven't decided if I'm going to run a door logo yet or if i'll do something in the back window but I'm always open to suggestions.
Codez, I have an Ls 5.3L being built by RNR Custom Engines that will be backed by a 4l80e. I haven't decided on the rearend yet though. The machine shop is taking pictures along the way for me too so that I can post all aspects of the build. Thank you again guys and I'm very excited at becoming a part of the 67-72 community. |

Ultimate Rides 68 GMC
Starting to mock up the front end and get an idea of what to do with the firewall and inner fenders. We've also been working on a frame/fab table in between customer trucks and the 68. I don't think I'm going to stick with the initial design for the firewall but it was just something I needed to get out of my head. What do you guys think? Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Re: Ultimate Rides 68 GMC
Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long since the last update. I have separated from Ultimate Rides and started my own shop. I recently got the truck setup in the garage and will be posting progress pictures soon. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!
