What do I have Steering Column Question
I was told this column came from a 1972 C10 CST ,

No, that is a later model van tilt. The NSS is too far up. the shaft is longer on the lower end, and the wiring connector is straight instead of curved like a pickup. (half moon).... Here is a picture of a pickup tilt. LockDoc

Van tilts are nice OEM GM pieces that easily adapt to our trucks.
