seat question

Would it take much modification on a 82 GMC bench seat to make it work with my 70 brackets? The PO had rigged up the bench I have now with the real brackets. Its not very safe and need to find a solution. I found a 82 GMC with its bench at a parts yard. Any info is appreciated.

Re: seat question

I think it would be one of the easiest things you could do as far as mods for your truck, unless you break bolts so use some penetrating oil.

Re: seat question

All I had to do when I did this in a k20 was remove the swap the sliding mechanisms. Now it did go from worm out 72 bench to 79 bench and all I had to do was drill some holes. The only thing I didn't like was the new seat made me sit higher in the cab and caused headroom issues for me although no one else noticed.
