Newbie 68 C10

Just bought a pretty nice 68 C10 Stepside. It's in pretty good shape. I'm looking for some pointers. What other years of the C10 can I pull a power steering column from and also if I just do lowering springs 4/2-21/2for now. Can I still do drop spindles & front disc brakes later? Thanks for any help. JB

Welcome to the board looks like a nice solid truck from the picture...

To answer your first question about the steering column 67/68 were specific to those years with the one piece steering shaft but all 67-72 Chevy/GMC columns will work as long as you get the Mid Shaft also... All of the electrical is the same plugins...

On Lowering your truck the short answer is yes you can still use the drop spindles and disc later... the best way to lower a truck is with a combination of springs and spindles so you can still align the trucks cast/camber and it drive properly down the road and still get the proper tire wear...

These are short answers to your question but will start you in the right direction...

I hope this helps you... Happy New Year...
