He was 14 4 years ago, he's been doing burnouts in that thing for 2 years now.

I park it in the shop every day. He has driven it some but not much. He really does not have much interest in it.

I have plenty of room but I sold the other one. I popped off with a number and the guy paid me. My garage is 30X40.

Re: Everyone likes pictures ECE 4.5/6 -- Coys

I was getting ready to do the same drop to mine with a set of 20's.

Can you measure from the ground to the top of wheel arch through the center of the wheel for me.

I would like to see where mine will set once its done.

Burnout, that is funny. The original big block is tired but it idles and runs smooth and will run down the hiway at 70 with no problems. 11 miles a gallon sucks but it is the price you pay to drive an old truck.

You guys have been an inspiration for my upcoming new build project. I love the look and stance of your trucks.

2500HD… Yours is awesome! One of the first pictures that I downloaded to use as an example for my build. Love it!

I have about some variation from side to side but front is 27 5/16 and rear is 28 3/16. Assuming you have a big block with air and you are going to run the same tire sizes, yours should be close to the same. I had to run a 2" sping in front because ECE does not offer a 1.5" spring for a big block. Another thing to consider is the shape of your core support mounts and cab mounts. Mine are collapsed a bit.

Re: Everyone likes pictures ECE 4.5/6 -- Coys

Great looking truck. My dad had a '71 4x4 that was two tone bronze/white. Bronze is one of my favorite factory colors.

Did you c-notch the rear. I was thinking of going 5/7 on my '69 but the more I see 4.5/6 I think that's the way to go. How do you think 15" wheels would look with that drop? It seems most have 20's but I'm limited with staying 6 lug.

15s would look fine but there will be interference on the lower control arm unless the wheel is very narrow with very little backspace. There is also concern with lower control arm ground clearance. If the 15 inch tire goes down at speed, the lower control arm will likely contact the ground before the wheel does. If you are building a show truck I do not see a problem. If you are building a driver I would go with a 20 inch wheel. The twenty inch wheel with keep the lower control arm from contacting the ground if the tire goes down. I drive mine a lot so a 20 is my choice.

Do the suspension then install a 15 without tire and let the truck down and see if the control arm or the wheel hits the ground first. I really think the control arm will hit first.

I have not notched it. I do bottom out but not as much as I thought I would. If you drive it like a truck this low should be driven, you do not need a notch. I never bottom out on roads that I know but I drive it everywhere and if I do not know the road I sometimes bottom out.
