1969 c10 generator light nothing else

Hi there. I recently bought myself a little 1969 c10 shortbox stepside. She was running great until I decided to replace the intake manifold and carb. I figure I must have bumped something in the mean time. after all said and done I go to fire it up and nothing. except I get a generator light. It doesn't crank or get lights. The battery is working fine. And I get 12v to the starter but nothing. Getting really frustrating. She has a 350/th350. If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful. Thank you

You probably have checked battery connections for a good clean fit.

Next check the red wire going from the Positive side of the battery to a connection on the fender. That sometimes gets cracked/broken or corroded or the wire inside the insulation gets broken.

And welcome to the board, you will find tons of good information here.

Sounds like lack of a good power or ground connection. Start at the battery and make sure the terminals are clean and tight. Then check the ground cable to the block. Always seem to be my 2 problem areas.

thanks guys. It was my own stupid self not realizing that it was a low battery. Didn't check the load after turning ignition.
