'82 K30 ...Design Ideas?
Howdy all~
OK. 1982 K30 flatbed Dually W/ Std K series cab. I'm trying to come up with ideas to cover up (hide) the dual tanks. On my other dually I have 18" x 18" x 36" under bed toolboxes, but due to the dual tanks on the '82 I only have 11" from the outside of the fuel tank to the outside of the bed. I've talked to my local metal guy and he will build me some boxes to fit, but the price is too high compared to "off the shelf" toolboxes. What do you guys think about a flat diamond plate "cover" to hide the fuel tanks? He figures he could make the plates and mount them for about 100 bucks. Any ideas? Anybody think of something else that might work? Thanks! Ben |
