Wiring schematics....

Just got a book of them for my 86 c1500. Can anyone tell me what all the little numbers mean? Some are on the wire, some are part numbers. I am guessing some are a reference number to a wire gauge. I once saw a "legend" somewhere that told what all of these were. If anyone knows a link to the "legend" or where I can finde it let me know.

Re: Wiring schematics....

Sometimes it's a pin number, sometimes it's just a number for when the schematic continues on another page so you can easily identify which wire it is.

Re: Wiring schematics....

There may be a circuit list either in the front or back of your wiring diagram book. The number with the color will reference wire size, and the other number will be the circuit.
