CST horn button 67-68

I heard from a vendor at the Turlock Swap meet on Saturday that some company is going to re-pop this button for about $70 to $85 bucks ! Picked up some very nice NOS parts very reasonable prices.

Be nice if they are quality, matched to the originals and not the FMVSS compliant service replacements true NOS parts are.

These CST/CUSTOM buttons are hard to find in "very nice condition".

Tim, do you recognize the interior of that truck in the photo?

One hint.....it resides here in the central valley.

I think those horn buttons were '67 only. I was looking for one to put on my '68 because I thought mine had the wrong one on it. My all original '68 has the Silver style pictured below. I know there has been some discussion on this before.

Here is a post by “leddzepp”,

Quote:
I believe the cst horn button was only used on 67 cst trucks...according to the part number it is listed as 67 only (3903667), and every original 68 cst I have come across has had the standard horn button. But...the 67 cst button would look WAY better on that SWEET truck you just bought!!!
And here is a reply by "too much stuff"

Quote:
I agree with scott...
I will look tonight, i think i have both pieces you need.

I am sure someone will have both parts you need to put the finishing touches on that beauty!
Nothing wrong with changing it if you aren't going entirely original but I would like to eventually restore the '68 back to all original.

The GMC may be a completely different story.
