classic car liquidators in Texas
Has anyone ever been down to classic car liquidators in Sherman Texas. I see them all over ebay and craigslist with tons of C10's. I was wondering if anyone has bought a truck from them or just gone and checked them out?

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
I knew a guy that bought a Camaro from them. No problem deal although the car was pretty ate up with rust and he didn't look it over carefully enough.
I don't think they were trying to hide anything but the car looked better in the pictures than in person.

I don't know anything about them, but I sure wouldn't mind having that 67 Chevelle convertible.

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
I was interested in a c10 they had about a year ago. They answered all my questions until I asked for some close up pics of a couple of problem areas I could see in the pictures they had on a craigslist add. I'm about 4 hours from them and didn't want to drive all that way and get a surprise. They never sent the pics or called me back.

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
That red one looks great in the pictures until you blow it upon your iPad. There is rust or a cruddy repair job all over the known rust areas. I got excited until I blew up the picture. Always wondered why they were so much cheaper than market value. Might be because they have the pics looking good but the trucks are rough.

Be careful. Looks like a lot of what they show have a few problems covered by a fresh coat of paint. I am about 75 miles away and will gladly drive up and look at anything, if anyone sees something they are really interested in. Rather help a brotha out , than see someone get less than they pay for.

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
The name is enough of a turn-off for me to not want to deal with them.

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
From what it sounds like, they are not putting out the best quality, I would like to see if they have a lot of spare parts lying around.

I live 20 miles to the west of them and pass their place everyday home from the plant.
Been there a few times. These guys are flippers, period. I am also willing to check anything out for anyone interested just give me a PM. This outfit used to be named Harwell Motors. Do a search. Buyers diligence is mandatory. Tim your comment made me LOL!

Exactly what I've heard from Army friends at ft Hood...they flip rough vehicles for too much.

I agree with everyone. Looks good but they are all boat anchors. I will give them this, they come up with a lot of inventory.

Re: classic car liquidators in Texas
A dealer is nothing more than a licensed flipper. The only way to buy an "honest" truck from an "honest" seller is via private party, from a seller that has owned the truck longer than a week. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done these days.
