Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hey Tim, in post #307 you have pictures of the vent windows installed. They look good and I was wondering if you refabed them and if so what kind of a pain in the butt was it? Keep up the good work. Clay

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Clay54;
My truck had the full window set. I come across the wing window set. ![]() I only had to do very little trim work to get the wing window to set in the window opening. I going to try n put power window motors in for the side windows. I'll try to get a close up of the trimming I had to do. I just like the 2 part window so much better then the 1 part window. ![]() -- (OLD SCHOOL) -- ![]() ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Thanks for your quick response. I have been trying to respond to you but the server is too busy and won't let me in. Old school or not, my '54 has vent windows and I want to keep them. Just thought you might have rehabed yours and knew how bad a problem it was. Thanks, Clay

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello Everyone;
![]() Well got to work in the shot today; ![]() Was COLD here yesterday; Got up to like 50 today; ![]() Been working on the dents in both fenders; (pic) Got both fenders mounted on the cab n fitted to the hood; (pic) Got the front radiator support redone n fitted to the fenders; Tomorrow I will try to get the holes drilled for the radiator mounts to the frame. (pic) Will need to move the DS of the hood forward like1/16 of inch; So that the hood clears the cab when opening. Got the front radiator support set in the frame also. (pic) Got the radiator at a shop to turn the lower outlet stright; In come out at like a 45deg angle; Don't have much space in the front of the motor. (pic) Once I get the radiator set back in then I will have to make some type of brackets to hold the radiator in place. Still have not started on the power window set up. Once I get the fenders n hood ready to paint then I plan to paint the wing window frame at the same time. Will be several pic to follow. ![]() ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello Everyone;
![]() Well spent the morning with my sister(her b-day) ![]() I took her to lunch n give her a valentine box of choloates. Pulled the (OLD) grill out n got it dis assy; (pic) It is bent up real good ![]() So going to see what part of it that I can use to make a grill for my front end. With the cab so low n the fenders NOW set right; I don't need all that much grill. As you will see in the pics it is in several pieces HOW . ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello Everyone;
![]() BEAUTIFUL Day; Got to work on the project today. Got the DS n PS wing windows painted. (pic) ![]() Worked on the front grill. Had to try to work out some of the dents. ![]() Got is as best as I could.(No body man) I can only run two of the long bars on the grill. (pic) ![]() Will use the ends of the other bars to make it look better. Will paint the bars the same as the body. The inside bars will be the same as the dash( lighter color) Still have to get some self tappers (3/8) to mount the side radiator supports in with. Still need to work the front of the hood some more. ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() |
