71 Lower Arm Bush Issue
Hi there, i have brought a front end rebuild kit from Early Classics. I have removed the control arms and found out that someone has been there before me !
Why would you weld these in ? They have fully welded the nuts to the arm, the other side they have tacked them but i fear that i am going to need to new lower arms ! I can only find them at LMC @ $180 an arm

Re: 71 Lower Arm Bush Issue
They most likely welded them because they never got greased so they were worn out and either popping or causing a vibration so viola a weld fixes everything. Typical shade tree nonsense you will need new ones. I had to replace my bushings and mount part (mind went numb for a second can't think of the actual name) not to hard and it's actually nice to know that you have fresh new parts in

If you are going to spend some money buy fully adjustable tubular a arms upper and lower or go to a junk yard and see if you can find some

Re: 71 Lower Arm Bush Issue
CPP has them for $279/pair with the cross shafts. Not my favorite place to buy stuff, but better than LMC and probably the same part.
