Inspired by looking through my newest Eastwood Co. Catalog, I went out and bought a can of Hi-Temp paint and a can of "Cast Iron" paint.

Here's one shot of my headers before and after.

and here's my brake booster / resevoir painted with the "cast iron" paint.

WOW! What a great idea....My power booster looks the same, and the headers, whike everything else is either chrome or new high heat painted......Getting ready for it's 4th "Back on the road AGAIN" maiden voyage. I read a sray paint trick on another web site. Someone else had written a letter to the owner of the site with this Tip. AND IT REALLY DOES MAKE A BIG DIFFERECE!! Buy a can of chrome(not metalic silver, silver is dull and gray) and spray paint the gauge/light housing. He taped off the holes so no overspray would get on the front side of the housing. My friend did mine and his and he said it really made a big difference. Haven't seen mine yet as it's not ready for the road...Almost though! Now I will add the Cast iron and high heat paint to my unpainted parts. Thanks for the great idea.

Don't forget the air cleaner, and valve covers.......

Good idea on the air cleaner..I have a chrome one now, but it is small and it sits in a short pan.exposing the sides to the dust of the desert, Not very practicle for my needs.....so spraying my stock one will be great. I have chrome valve covers , pcv, oil fil and breather all in one ...they match..cute...ok totally female! Sooooo...and timing chain cover, front bow tie license plate, door lock knobs....can you tell I love chrome? thanks for the ideas....this site is the BEST!

My grandpa used to call using spray paint on engine parts a "liquid overhaul"..

Needs new doors, fenders, hood, and paint. 1952 Chevy Pickup waiting to be brought back home!
