Welding is a lot like sex, you don't have to be great with the rod as long as you thoroughly prep the surface and your good at grinding

Re: old comercial

Really cool ad, it's got it all: Nostalgia, a nice truck, and that vintage video grain.

Re: old comercial

Thanks for sharing. I've been looking for that commercial for a while now. And that toy@#! truck company thought they were tuff stuff pulling around a space shuttle. Too bad it (more or less) was done 40 years prior by Chevrolet.

Re: old comercial

43 years later and I can still smell the clutch smoke. A 730,000 lb. plane would be tough to get rolling.

Some guys think their truck works enough just yanking out a tree.....I would have had a video but my wife couldn't take it when the tires smoked.

Re: old comercial

This thread reminded me of this one sent around by the HVA newsletter folks. Great bunch of old ads.

Re: old comercial

Never saw that ad and I've been a K/20 fanatic forever! My same thoughts, I see where Toyota got their idea. They could impress me with a video of one on an everyday job. Most Tundras I see park in office parking lots. Rarely see a longbed
