Cam and headers?
I have a '71 C10. Body is excellent, as are frame, suspension, etc. Slightly lowered, nothing drastic. Put a crate 350 in it two months ago, waited 2,000 miles then added a mild cam. Has manifold and a 650 carb. Wondering if I should go ahead with headers, as I don't know how much of a difference they would make. Would they, in addition to the cam, change the timing? H.P.? Thanks for the advice.

Re: Cam and headers?
With a new cam, depending on how mild or wild it is will depend on where you need to set your timing. New headers will not affect timing at all.
If it's just a mild build, and you have ram horns on there now... you can just keep those and you will be happy that they will last a long time and give you just as much power as a set of headers. I have personally installed headers on every single V-8 vehicle (except my '06 Silverado and a handful of diesels) I have ever owned. Just my personal preference. More power or not... I just like headers. Gary
