Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
Well almost, been real busy working on a few cars...... not trucks so didn't know if i had anything to add the mix here... I still get questions once in a while about the suburban so that brings me back. Like now i got two questions yesterday but since i hadn't been on in a while the password would work so i had to do that all over again.. glad you noticed...

Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
Don't feel bad Yewhi, i'm farther away than that...... I've told them to come down on he price some if they really want to sell it but so far no dice..... I do know for a fact they've turned down over 100k for it.. since i know how much is in it they could make a little money and almost no one does that now days....

Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
PW
Question about the wiring. Do you guys do your own or do you buy a kit and make it fit your application ??? My truck is much simpler than the burb but still not sure I want to do it myself. I rewired my old boat awhile back but it was little different. thanks bb

Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
We use kits.. the best is American Auto Wire, have used Painless, doesn't come with all the bells and whistle's that am.auto wire does but will get you by.. I know there are a lot of others on the market but if i can i would stick with AAW..
This truck was a '55 using Painless only because that's what the owner bought for us.. It came out nice..

Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
Very nice...well done.
I used your idea on page two where you cut the top of the door and pushed it in. Did the same thing and my gaps now on all doors are perfect. Cant match you on interior but I did take a few tips and hope they work out. Thanks for posting all the pics |

Re: 1951 Suburban a 4 year project....
Parkwood (wayne) is a good dude. He has been helping me out for years. The Suburban build he documented lead to my desire to build one.

This is a beautiful build and was one that led me to pull mine from the back of the shop to the front.
