Fulton visor dogbone height
As the title says. Could anyone with a fulton or reproduction Fulton visor please let me know what hieght their visor dogbones are mounted at. I search the web and have come up with about four different heights anywhere from 10 to 12 3/4. So if you're running a visor could you please do a check for me I'd appreciate it.

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
I can't tell you what the measurement is because i don't have the car any longer here. but i hope the pictures help. I will tell you that i had to move the dogbones up and down to find a place where they fit the door post and looked good too. You will have to bend and grind to get them to fit but take your time and mock it up and put it where it fits and looks right..

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
Parkwood, what did you use to attach the visor in the door frame? I was thinking self tapping screws but I would think they would need to be pretty flush.

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
If i remember right i used 10/24 or 10/32 flat head allen screws. and you're right they have to be flat because there isn't much room as the door closes. i had to grind the doors just a bit to get them to clear as it was... not sure if you can see the difference in the door gaps from the two pictures..

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
I'm not sure the head of a rivet would be strong enough to hold it.. remember that thing catches a lot of air at frwy speed.

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
@parkwood. Thanks for all the info and pics.
Thanks for the link root. I found those and some others. Im going to mount it so the top edge is just over the top of the window seal. Ill mock it up first and adjust from there. Thanks again everyone. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Fulton visor dogbone height
I mounted mine 10.5" up measuring from the bottom of the drip rail up to the lower edge of the dog-bone mounting flange.
