71-72 side molding questions

Newbie question here. Is it true that some of the small, lower side molding pieces are held on with exposed screws? And are they painted brown (like wood)? I've seen this and wondered if it's correct or not.

On a related note, can anyone show me the clips used to hold the upper and lower side moldings on these trucks. I'm familiar with the 60-66 clips but have no idea what types they used on the 71-72s.

Thanks!

Re: 71-72 side molding questions

The lower moulding on the very front of of the fenders is attached with two screws where it's hidden by the bumper. It may be the same on the rear, but I can't remember for sure.

Regarding the clips, you should find what you need here: http://www.classicparts.com/Trim-Har...oducts/322/9/0
