Removing Tops

What's the least expensive most efficient way to remove your top by yourself? Need pictures.

Since you're from Texas, the first thing that came to mind was C4 ! ;-)

No pictures, but I have a shed with a flat roof that's about a foot higher than the bed rails of my Blazer. I unbolt the top, back up to the shed, and get under the approximate center of gravity of the top. I put my back against the top and use my legs to lift and walk the top onto the shed.

Maybe not the most efficient, but it's definitely inexpensive.

When I need to do it by myself I go inside the Blazer with two 2x4's that are about 2' wider than the top. I put my back against the top and push it up enough to slide the 2x4 under the top. I do that once toward the front and once at the rear. Then I put my eyebolts in the 2x4's and use rachet straps to get the top all the way to the ceiling. I have a wooden frame at the ceiling that holds it.
When I would take it off and put it back on frequently I did something similar except I had 4 wood posts that I set each end of the 2x4 on. I lifted each 2x4 enough to get them on the post and then I could drive out from under the top and back underneath it when I wanted to put it back on.

Behind the Blaze is my "top lifter" (its hard to see, its above my top that is resting on my Snap-On scissor lift). I mounted a winch to the wall and used 1" rope and 2 pulleys with a spreader bar. Very easy and cheap.

I climb in & face the rear. Spread my arms & lift it up with my back & walk it to the rear. Jump out & carry it off lol Easy if you're tall, it's just about balancing the weight. Cheapest way I know haha

In Texas we just stand to the side of my K5 and palm it off then set it aside.
Well the girls use two hands but we guys just palm it.

I used to back my blazer up to the side of another pickup that I had, and then slide it off the back of my blazer, and set it across the bedrails of the pickup. This eliminated having to set it down, and pick it up from the ground.
I found that to be about the easiest in my case.
