Will a 73-87 bench seat bolt in a 67-72?

I've changed my mind about my seat AGAIN, and going with a bench seat. I found a cheap one in an auto yard, but its from a '76.

Will the 73-87 holes line up with my '71 or do I have to drill new holes?

Thanks guys!

I have been able to do this swap but I had to use the 67-72 brackets on the 78 seat that I used and had to drill a few holes in the seat base for the brackets to be fully secured. not the easiest to do but not hard

Great info. Thanks! We're you pretty happy with the swap? Did you get a Lil more belly room?

Yes I was happy with the swap as I was no longer sitting on springs. What I didn't care for was in my opinion it made the me sit higher in the cab than what the 67-72 seats normally do. That was my only gripe about it and that truck had a small steering wheel so belly room wasn't much of an issue but it didn't help any. I would recommend the swap though when I sold the truck the new owners were happy with it as they are shorter than I am

The seats from 88 and newer use a different base which works better on a flat floor.
