My new K20
Finally, I have found a 1970 K20 that is worth the investment. I bought it from my new boss actually. Any of you that follow my activity on here will know who that is.
I am super excited to have it and have many plans for it moving forward. The first will be to undo some of the things that the PO's have done in the past like the add on washers for the wipers, the trailer brake controller and a few other things. I want to get some wider stock style wheels and some bigger more aggressive tires. Not to fat but a tall skinny tire with aggressive tread. I have always wanted a nice K20 but being from Michigan, they are rare to find in good condition as many were used as plow rigs. I had to sell my 72 Cheyenne to get this and I will miss that nice old truck but time to move on with something new. I will try and post up some photos as improvements happen. Very busy with gauge cluster builds now as well. Take care, Tom

Re: My new K20
Welcome to the world of K/20s and K2500s! I love it. I noticed you are now in Oregon, but don't follow your activity and don't know who your boss is. I live the Medium Gold Poly and it has been a strong consideration for my '72 when I do the body (never say till the day you order paint). Of the dozen or more K/20s I've owned I have had the most basic to full-tilt bells & whistle Cheyenne Super Custom Campers... rare to common, and I've loved them all. Your boss had that one in righteous condition and all but original, yet. Good on him and good on you for seeing it as a great truck as it sits.

Super nice truck.
Put some black headlight bezels on your list of things to do. (it's a pet peeve of mine on the 69-70 trucks)

Wow, that is a beautiful truck right there! Really happy for you and what a score. How did you pry it out of the bosses hands?

Re: My new K20
Thank you gentlemen. Yes that is one of those step add on's on the passenger side, soon to be removed.
I am looking forward to doing some work on it. Take care and have a good holiday to all of you, Tom
