60-66: who has the cheapest bag setup that works?
who on here has done the cheapest bag setup on a 60-66 truck? Maybe you didn't use the parts you should have, didn't buy the good bags, bought a slow compressor, etc. I'm not looking to lay frame or anything crazy, basically just replace my cut springs with some bags and rock it like that: factory front end, no frame work, etc. At one time I had seen someone was selling a 500$ kit for these trucks, however i believe I can do it cheaper than this but that's an idea of what I'm wanting to spend...

60-62 is different from 63-66. For the 63-66 you can cut your own top plate and weld your own cups in for the front. Similar set up for the back. Then run Schrader valves on each bag.

Yeah with coils all the way around you can get bags and brackets easy,The air management can be cheap if you don't mind manual valve/switches for it.Later on you can always upgrade that if you don't like it.You will want to have air gauges 3 will do they make a dual needle gauge so you can run one front and one rear left and right and a 3rd for the tank,The tank one can be in cab or on the tank either way just good to have it.
