dream build.......putting Henry on air. Advice please
Right now I have a static drop on my 1949 Chevy 3600. I used a modified stock axle and removed some leafs in the front. The rear got an axle flip and some leafs removed. I love the stance.....but as expected the ride is rough.
Looking into IFS in the front, likely from an S-10 donor. Rear will be a 4 link set up. I would like to do a manual air ride set up. I need some guidance on some things though. What size and how many compressors? What brands should I look at and what brands should I stay away from? I was going to go with a 5 gallon tank. Bags I had decided on are Slam Specialties SS7. I am looking at 4 paddle switches and a couple dual needle pressure gauges. Any good sources? Thanks for the info and guidance in advance!! |

Coach, I went with suicidedoorsdotcom for components for my 48 truck. Used one compressor with a 5 gallon tank, toggle switch control of the air valves and pressure gauges. Truck had a Fatman iFS and triangulated 4 link rear.
I plan to use Ridetech system on the current build. |

There are a lot of places that will give you a good deal if you call:
AZ Performance. AVS. Custom Connection. I have used all three and can recommend all three without hesitation. Custom Connection has the best sales by far. I got my entire rear suspention (4 link, panhard, bag brackets, shock mounts, some fittings, etc) for around 500 bucks delivered. I plan on running Viair compressors. Likely two 480s. I have been debating between the Little Larry's valves and Dloe's valves.

suicidedoors use to be good but now have a super long wait for parts that should be in stock ready to go.For a ifs kit and a rear 4 link look at http://www.nolimitengineering.com/ and http://www.scottshotrods.com/ both are vendors on here and known for making good parts. If i went the s10 way i would do a whole frame swap vs trying to clip a frame.
