Best ways to mount a new rad

I have a new 3 core rad for my 63..the bottom mounts are still in tact with the rubber there also..I have had trouble locating a v8 top mount for it that fits in the original spot as the PO took the other one out to mount an older style rad..any ideas what I can use for a stock look? maybe just for now till I locate a stock style one? Thanks guys

Re: Best ways to mount a new rad

Do you have the ability to make bends in sheet metal? If so, I would go get some 18-16g sheet and make some bends to replicate the original mount, then paint it semi-gloss black. Not sure what I would use for the top to stop it from rubbing the radiator, maybe you could source some rubber to cut and place between the two pieces, just a thought.

Foam tape should work great. If you need pics of my original bracket and measurements just let me know.

This is the route I'm going.

If you have a vise or anvil and a hammer, you can make the bends you need. I built mine out of 16 ga, but I think 18 would be just fine.
