WTB - 72 Parking brake cable clamp

I'm looking for the clamp that holds the in cab parking brake cable to the foot parking brake bracket just after the clevis. Mine has gotten deformed and will no longer hold the cable causing the parking brake not to function properly. Will need shipped to Upland Ca, 91784. Thanks for looking, Lee

Re: WTB - 72 Parking brake cable clamp

I am having the same problem as Lee H. Whoever took mine apart at the body shop bent this clamp up and now it won't hold the cable. I got another once from the board but can't figure out how to get it I. Without doing the same damage.

I still don't understand why they took the original one off!

You cannot remove/prep the firewall and cab with it attached.

Re: WTB - 72 Parking brake cable clamp

I suppose you can get an old one off by cutting the cable. The problem is how do you get it on without prying it open? From the other end? Then will it go through the firewall opening?

I would have just masked the cable and clamp off.

They usually have to be pried open a little to remove. Ill make sure I have the exact item you expect before either of you send any money. None of us need any more scrap metal.

I agree with you sir! More work than what you get out of it. I haven't had the issues you guys are having. what about sleeving the cable a little?

Pics tonight for sure. If you need them now I can pass on selling these and you can get them from Cheyenne Shortstop.

Here's a few I have.
There are more I have. I have a couple cabs out there with these still intact.
Let me know if you can use these.

You need to be a subscribing member to post a wtb thread. PM sales are also against board rules.

Sorry about that, I was still in the process of getting the subscription setup. Thank you for the information about the PMs.
