Just replaced all steering but worse now
i replaced the steering box, drag links, tie rod ends, and rag joint. Then I had the truck aligned and it actually steers worse now than before. I adjusted the worm gear screw thinking this might help but it didn't. I can move the steering from 10 to 2 o'clock and not have any wheel movement. It makes it hard to drive.
If all I have done is improve the steering shouldn't it be better? This is on a '73 K20

Re: Just replaced all steering but worse now
Was the gear box brand new or a rebuilt unit? Did you replace the Pitman Arm as well?

Re: Just replaced all steering but worse now
Sounds like you may have gotten a bad rebuilt steering box.
