Got it on the Road
The journey started three years back. I wanted to get a C10. Had a 70 big block in high school and part of college always had a soft spot for these trucks and had to get another. This was a plane Jane 6 cylinder 3 OTT with the wrong motor (a 230) not running, needing only a few things according to the PO. Well I put in a 350/350 combo, did a 2-4 drop, all new wiring, and just left the outside in as found condition. I drove it about 100 miles yesterday and today it got it first bath in many years. Man I love to drive this thing and everyone always gives you the thumbs up when they see you. Just wanted to share my excitement and say THANKS to everyone on the board for the advice and support.

Re: Got it on the Road
Love the truck. I have spent 5 years looking for a truck to start. I want to find a truck that isn't so far gone I cant work on it. I also want one that isn't 6 months pay to start a project on. So when I see one that is like this that is back on the road it makes me want to look even harder. So I think I will go for a drive and see what I can find.
Have a great day and God Bless Ed |

Re: Got it on the Road
I'm glad you got her going. Now if I can get off of my a** and get mine running, I'll be the one with a post like yours.

Re: Got it on the Road
I'm glad I bought a restored one but I'll be honest I took all the mechanical apart to go through it so one thing I'll say is that it never ends . Love the blue!
