finally done my long step 60 gmc
I have Ben working on this for a while off and on. it was a short fleet 60 chevy bye amt I stretched it to a long bed stole finders from revells step side along with 2 pair of steps, cut a spare time well grafted the steps together also scratch built the bad sides. I Built the gmc dash and a 305 v6. Had a friend send me the master gmc grill and hood parts, pulled a mold and cast my own parts and made the side emblems for the finders. The only thing I'm not happy about is my tailgate think it's the wrong lettering for a 60-61 I stole that from a 72 gmc kit.

That's a pro job if I ever saw one...even if you're not a pro! I like to see a custom that is stock, nothing fancy, just what what never made yet built better than most out of the box. A true model/replica with realism factor. Way cool!

Excellent! Very nice indeed. And to confirm, yes the 60-61 tailgate used the "flying M" insignia instead of the block letters. I've thought about printing a photo of my real tailgate on heavy card stock, cut it out, and glue it on a plain tailgate. I'm not clever enough to build that to scale in plastic.
