What type of headers to buy?
I want to buy headers for the truck and exhaust since it is rusted out. I was unsure of weather or not i wanted full length headers or if i wanted mid length headers. Any suggestions. Also was wondering if there are any kits out there that anyone has put on that were a good bolt on kit for exhaust with little modification.
Thanks |

Re: What type of headers to buy?
I've never had anything but long tube headers. Personally I think you get the most bang for your buck as long as you don't have clearance issues.

Re: What type of headers to buy?
Clearance was my concern i am going to lower it some but i was unsure how far long tube headers stuck out under the frame of the truck.

Different header brands will fit different. If your looking to lower, I'd go with mid length. Hedman 69010 or something like them.

Re: What type of headers to buy?
I would buy long tubes. I pulled a Big Block out of my Nova and dropped it in the truck. Everything fits, but it has mid-length headers. I have to do some modification to get the exhaust to fit on the headers.
Check out this picture for car headers vs truck headers: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...33&postcount=9 |
