Re: They will be mine!
So are you going with the manual or the auto for the one you build?

Re: They will be mine!
I will use the manual for my 4x4 build, then I might do another one with the auto. So 350, sm465, 205, stock half ton axles. I will use the body off of the 71, but the frame off of the 69 and the grill off of the 69. The cap will get used for camping and such, I don't like it for daily use.
I'm glad you guys think these are a good buy, I will say I didn't pay what he is asking. I might buy a membership here so i can sell some parts, not sue though. I am going to drive the 2wd 3/4 ton for now then work on the 4x4 slowly. |

Re: They will be mine!
And I will use the big mirrors from the 2wd, sliding window from the 4wd, I need to find bumpers, the white and rust one might still be good though, not sure.
I need to find 2 6 lug wheels and tires to use for the day of I dolly the 4wd back, I might just put it on a trailer and dolly the other one. Does anybody know what the title t handle shaped thing is by the aux oil pressure gauge? I was thinking pto engagement, but I doubt it. |

Re: They will be mine!
When I do restore it, I'm going to make it a light blue and white highlander copy, almost like special k's old truck.
I just found out my great grandpa had a 72, all red, 3ott, inline 6 so I might do one all red Or my other choice I think all of those are members trucks, sorry for taking your pics, I have an album of almost 400 pic of just these trucks, I'm hooked! |

Re: They will be mine!
Very nice score! Always good to see another one (or 2 in this case) get back on the road. To answer your question, that is the E-brake release handle.

Wow! 800 pics? That's crazy! Another question, would I be able to do a ranger overdrive with the manual trans, and still be able to run a pto? I would like to do a pto winch eventually. |

Re: They will be mine!
And I'm thinking of hiding the winch behind the front bumper, I and to put the fairlead behind the lisence plate too, not sure how it will work though.
This forum has been so much help to me already, I will do a build thread after I get them. |

And another question, what axle is on the k10? I can't find anything on it, I was thinking Eaton ho52 but that is a 3/4 ton, isn't it?

Re: They will be mine!
Pic of said wheels? And I'm not hip on 4x's lol there people with a lot more knowledge on factory and 4x4s than me. If I had to guess I'd say Dana or another 12bolt. I think 14bolt was only on c30s but I could easily be wrong.

Re: They will be mine!
I'd find a new set of wheels, kind of a pain to find tires for a 16.5 wheel. Cheap alternative if you don't mind the non stock appearance are the Cragar Soft 8s or D window wheels. They're black, cheap and come in a lot of sizes. I've already gotten a set of 15x8 and 15x10 soft 8s for mine

Re: They will be mine!
That is what I have heard, I will most likely use these till the tires are bad, he has a set of brand new tires. Eventually it will be a half ton so I will have a little more options. I doubt I will wear those tires out anyways because I'm going to start the tear down next winter (only winter I have ever looked forward to ) I like the cragars, I was even thinking a set of American racing outlaw 2s, but I really like the original steel wheels
