Very Nice Looking 72 Cheyenne For Sale
Not mine and no affiliation.
Stumbled upon this the Bring a Trailer auction site. Looks to be a top notch build. I'm wondering if it belongs to someone here. Be sure to check out the reader's comments at the bottom of the listing. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/197...-12-ton-sb-pu/

Re: Very Nice Looking 72 Cheyenne For Sale
Nice truck but must have had a cab swap or something. It doesn't have the cab lights. That spid is sure from a loaded short box though

Re: Very Nice Looking 72 Cheyenne For Sale
The SPID shows 115" but the sellers comments confuse me.
"Corveric (The Seller) @SmittyCat, This is a short box, 71″ long box. The only way they get shorter is by modification… Put on your corduroy pants and polyester jacket, and start bidding – 1972 is here again." Is he saying the 71 model only came in long box or this was cut down? |

Re: Very Nice Looking 72 Cheyenne For Sale
Hmm. Yes, gorgeous. SPID looks like a factory one, but perhaps not from this truck? Cab swap or he ground down the clearance lamp nubs on the roof and filled them (which I doubt). I don't see buckets and don't see the interior trim callout at all on the SPID (or I'm old and going blind). All that is fine. I am NOT a fan of continuing the center white deluxe two-tone to the interior panels.... But, no matter how you slice it, it's a real nice truck. I don't see the smitty cat comments anywhere - but I think he's saying his "short box is 71" long..." (i.e. the extra "box" at the end is redundant, and confusing, and not necessary) He's not talking wheelbase. It's an original shortbed (SPID: model # CE10734 (the 7) and 115" wheelbase. Or at least the SPID is from an original shortbox. I don't think I've ever seen a swb with UO1's!! Interesting, to say the least. And PURDY.

Incredible, the build sheet looks very similar to mine but with a few minor differences.
