Nut Case !!

Good Morning:

Well worked on the power windows again today.
The jeep set up (won't work)
Try a set of Mitsubishi (won't work)
So looks like it is after market time.
Found a set in Speedway for 150+shipping.

When I got the window in the running track it hits at the top in the front.
Looks like I will have to do some small adjustment to the wing window area to let the window slide up n down smooth.

All so worked on the inside of the cab with interior.
Have the door panels cut now just have to get the saddle blanket installed on the panels. Try to wait till I get the windows installed so that I don't have to redo the door panels.

Working on the front radiator hose's also. Have to just try several different type lower hose's to find one to fit. All so the same with the upper hose.

Found a hood latch that looks like it will work, Will have inside pull handle n cable. Will need to fab this into the hood n the front grill.

Will get (pic) after Friday.

Hello Everyone.

I'm still here n kicking;

It has been awhile since I posted.
I have been try to find a set of power window reg to fit the doors.
Could not find anything to fit. (pics)
So will order a set from Speedway parts. (pic)

Have been looking for a hood latch system all so.
Found one out of a 88 dodge car. (pic)

Done some work on the inside of the cab, to see what the saddle blanket will look like. (pic0

Worked on the front grill braces. (pic)
Mock up the front hood latch. (pic)

Worked on replaceing the lite in the park/turn signal housing.
Changed from one bulb to a two way bulb.
Will give me park lite then turn single in the same set up. (pic)

Found a set of radiator hoses to fit the top n bottom. (pic)

Hello everyone.

Well got to work on the truck today.
Spent all day yesterday mocking up the lower hood latch plate. (no pic)
Spent today remounting the heater control unit. (pic)
Worked on the turn park single, redone the socket to 1157 type. (pic)
Replaced the lower plate on the grille. (pic)
Still looking to see if the brown is right or if I should go with black ??

Will have the lower hood plate tomorrow ( need to weld it together)
Still all so need to install the trans cooler someplace ? ?

Look back in my post.
You will see that I'm going to use a saddle blanket type interior.
So the brown should be OK.

Evening everyone.

Well worked on the truck today.

Got the radiator installed with New hoses.
Installed NEW fuse panel under hood DS (pic)

Still need to find a place for the trans cooler ? ?

Well woke up to (SNOW) on the ground this morning ! !

Did get out to the shop n work. Had a set of OLD Cragers that look bad.
So I Painted the inside spokes black ! !
Got before n after pic (pic)
Worked on the headlite buckets all so. (pic)
Still try to find a place to mount the trans cooler ! !

Really starting to look good! A lot of people used to use the older BMW power window set up. I can't remember what yr. I think I'm going to use the Speedway set up on my project. I don't have the metal track on the bottom window and they want $125 for the pair. Won't need them with their power set up.

Good Evening Everyone.

Well been out working on the project the past couple of days.
Spent all day yesterday stripping out the wire from two used wiring harness.
Spent today getting the front headlites n front park/turn signals wired in.
Used the wiring code from a S10 wiring diagram.
Used the right color code for the head lite n the park/turn singles.
Got the hi n low beam working on the head lites.
Got the turn(high)signal n the park(dim) signals working.
Next is to work the fuse panel into the system.
Then work the under dash wiring system.
Looks like I will have to move the trans cooler to clear the hood latch.
Did not take any pic today.
I really do not like elect wiring, need some real time to work it out.

Hello Everyone;

Well worked in the shop on the project today.
Got the trans cooler place between the front grill n the radiator #69 (pic)
Got the head lite part/turn single wired in # 67 (pic0
Placed the wiring in the protective covering. #68 (pic)
Got the trans cooler lines installed
Got the P/S hose reworked n installed
Got the tires(used) mounted on the front crager wheels

Next is to get the wiring system inside the cab area.

Been getting rain showers here the past few days. No heavy rain fall just short lil storms.
Which is the best type, let the rain soak into the ground.

I have got a lot done.
How comes the hard part.
I'm not very good with elect wiring.
With having to do a fuse panel along with the steering/ing wiring.
It is just not my cup of tea.
I have the wiring diagram from a S10 to work with.
I'm try to use the same color code as the S10.
This is the hard part for me to do.
I want it to all so be a clean wiring set.
I'm hoping to get this wiring done, so that I may be able get tags n ins the 1st of June.

SO more work to do tomorrow.
All elect , takes time.

Awesome build!I have a severely bad back and can appreciate what its like to try and work hurting all the time.Take your time with the wiring and it will go fine i read your whole build and with the talent you have the wiring wont be a problem you just dont know that yet!Ha ha

I just the best that I can with what I have to work with.
The hood is going to be a real fun try.
I will have to heat n bend easy on the nose to get it to fit the panel that will be the upper hood latch assy.
That is why the hood is still in the raw state.

Looking good Tim, wiring looks really neat! I have gotten some things done to my 53 lately including the wiring under the hood, hung one fender , got to do the other hung etc, etc. I hope to get even more done this weekend and update my build thread too. Keep up the good work!!!
