I have a mobile vice too, but I have to have the truck handy. I mount a 2x2 tube in the receiver hitch. Then the vice slide on to the upright section via receiver hitch and a bolt to make it stable. It works OK, but I have to move vehicles every time I want to use it.

I may remake mine to be more like yours.

Glad you noticed it, most people miss it, even in real life.

I want to make a flat bar, single bolt mount, foot pedal just to add stability to it if needed, have tried it out, and to be honest, at 100kg, it seems steady enough.
