71-72 two tone paint question
Did these trucks come two tone where the center white strip was not carried through the tailgate?

No every factory 71-72 Deluxe Two-Tone (4xx code) will have the tailgate painted white between the upper and lower moldings. Primary/body color letters (Custom, Custom Deluxe) or a woodgrained tailgate band and upper molding only (Cheyenne or Cheyenne Super).
