Receiver hitches

Does anyone make a class IV hitch that does not require drilling to install? Some companies say no drilling, but that is totally false in many cases. I was looking at a Reese 37087, which claims no drilling required. I only see four holes in my frame, not the six that are needed. Not even sure if the four holes I have would be a match for the hitch, which would only need two additional holes drilled. Hoping also to find a hitch that will not interfere with the spare tire rack. Any photos/information will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Receiver hitches

U-haul is the hitch experts. If their hitch needs drilling then they all do. There is enough holes in these frames that you wouldn't think it would be necessary, but no big deal if you need to drill a couple holes.

Re: Receiver hitches

I don't mind drilling holes, I was just hoping to find one that will match at least two, if not four existing holes. Despite my truck having the factory Trailering Special option, it has never had a receiver hitch on it. Hoping also to find one that does not interfere with the spare tire mounting.

Re: Receiver hitches

I have found that most squares have had the spare tire carrier removed because it does interfere with a receiver hitch. I moved the pivot bolt on my stock spare tire carrier forward about one inch and the spare tire just clears the hitch and the exhaust (which I have routed out the sides, not the back.) I think I have a 5,000# Draw Tite hitch but I think the Reese hitches are about the same dimensions.

Re: Receiver hitches

Does it have to be a class IV the factory III on my blazer bolts into the factory holes for the outer bumper brackets and another hole near end of frame on both sides I don't have a pickup anymore so I can't check to see if all the holes are there

Re: Receiver hitches

I got a class 3 Reese tow-power multi fit truck hitch from walmart. 120 bucks said it only fit 88s & up but it fit my 85 with no drilling.
