WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
I'm budget minded on my 65 C10 beater project which has worn out stock drums. I just know there are tons of perfectly good complete set-ups around that got yanked for disc/drop conversions. I might need everyhting. Drums, shoes, wheel cyls, springs, spindles, bearings, etc. Anyone have known good stuff that needs nothing but re-install?

Re: WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
At this point, I'm not so much looking for rebuildable parts, but hoping to find the whole shebang ready to rock as-is. Lots of brake swap orphans out there.

Re: WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
I *might* have the old set off of my 64. But if so they've probably been sitting outside at my dad's house in riverside for about 5 years. I can look next weekend when I'm out there if you want.

Re: WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
I have what you need. I just pulled them off my 63 a couple weeks ago. Spindles and all. They were recently all rebuilt too. The new drums barely had some flash rust starting. I will be in Bakersfield next week Thursday through Monday if you want to drive up and get them. Sweet cheap deal if you want to drive a couple hours. Let me know. Jcox68rt@hotmail.com

Re: WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
Jcox, thanks for responding. I think I'm good. A semi-local member PM'd me a couple weeks ago and I got everything in one shot. I've been really busy with other stuff and have not even looked closely at those parts though. I assume they will all fit and work fine, but I'll keep you in mind if I have any issues with this stuff. Thanks again- BP

Re: WTB: Complete Drum brake set up
I have nothing to contribute and it looks like you found what you were looking for anyway, but I just wanted to say thanks for the idea. I might follow suit and start a wtb thread myself when I am ready to tackle brakes.
