Two nice shorties...

on ebay now - not mine and don't know em, but they caught my attn.
a 70 557 paint CST and a 72 k10. Pretty sure the K10 is actually a Cheyenne Super, not just a Cheyenne as stated, but who knows - no SPID (edit: I mean - no SPID shown in the ebay pics - am sure someone will call to get the dirt on this one!). Looks like an original Super to me - all the tell tales are there except seat cover which has been changed to a generic. And check out the shortie aux tanks!) Either way, both are sweet little trucks - not perfect, but I'd sure love to have either in the barn.

Re: Two nice shorties...

I really like the olive one. Some rust though.

Re: Two nice shorties...

yep - neither one is perfect for sure. But I absolutely love to see original, not so commonly optioned (i.e. k10 swb super or a 557 paint Anything) trucks that have original paint that you can just look at and say, wow, imagine what THAT looked like when it was new - and you can imagine it because it hasn't done much other than age nicely.

On the k10, I'm seeing the glovebox woodgrain, not that common, but correct, black gb door from some specific plants, and the faded super emblems. Can't tell if the gate cover is shiny. On the other hand - I see black door panels which would never have come on a super... Homey wants a SPID, very curious. Perhaps the seller is correct in advertising as a Cheyenne only.

I would love to have either, but I really like Ochre/White, great color combo. The Dark/light olive is really cool too.

Re: Two nice shorties...

Here, hopefully you'll enjoy looking at this wonderful SPID I requested of the seller. It's a whole 3kb in file size... Anyway - for what it's worth, even though it's entirely unreadable without some of the FBI's Most Wanted image editing software, he did mention it was a YE9 super. Enjoy reading this, I did. Not. Ha. Kinda funny and not helpful at all.

Re: Two nice shorties...

Ok, HERE we go. Much better. Enjoy! Cheyenne Super, Parchment interior, Man Throt, and a posi... Would be STUNNING restored, or nice to have just like it is. Love the, dare I say it, patina. Nice original paint. Don't like the tonneau snaps. I should probably look up how to spell tonneau...
