Temporary Race Truck!
Our local truck club hosted a day at the track and I decided to turn my truck into a RaceTruck for the weekend. My buddy cut me a bunch of vinyl logos for the sponsors, and we just used different fonts for the companies who's logo's we didn't have. Added a big number 18 on the door and I was ready for some racing!!!

I love the look! I would leave it just like it is.

Mine too! It's staying like this for a little while at least. Our club is doing a cruise to Tommy's Pickup Parts, and he asked me to keep it like this for that event. Quote:

Window nets weren't required, but we did have a pretty thorough safety inspection!

Re: Temporary Race Truck!
For anyone who wants to see it in action, here's a link to the video from inside my cab. This run is pretty clean, but there is one where I take out some cones and say a few bad words. That video isn't public!!!

We also sell shirts and stickers, and collect money for good causes. We have an old water jug that we ask people to put their lose change into. When a cause presents itself - maybe a member has a house fire or health issue with a child, we'll empty the jug and use the money for that cause. Hopefully we never have to empty the jug, in which case we'll use the money at the holidays for Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels, or another local charity. FYI - We have members from Atlanta. We don't consider you too far away to join. If you're on Facebook, join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/UpstateGMtrucks/

Re: Temporary Race Truck!
Tommy's Pickup Parts is a local version of LMC, only better. They're located in Shelby, NC and it's run by Tommy & Gayle Mode. They've been in the GM Truck Parts business for years. If you've been to any of the GoodGuys, Autofair, Run to the Sun, GM Super Nationals, Shades of the Part, type shows, you've probably seen their parts trailer.
The great thing about Tommy and his staff is that they really know these parts. He can tell you tips and tricks about installing parts, and he can tell you which aftermarket parts are good and what to avoid. If you have problems with something, they answer the phone and know how to help. He also keeps a decent amount of used parts in stock as well. They're very old school. If you look at their website, it leaves much to be desired, and they're not the best at electronic communication. Tommy's son, Jason, ownes New Creations, which is a custom car shop that offers restoration, customization, mechanical, electrical, interior and other automotive type services. Tommy's and New Creations host an open house each year. This year it's on June 27th. It starts at Tommy's where he'll offer big discounts on all in stock parts, and his inventory is pretty impressive. Then we'll cruise down the road to the New Creations shop where Jason and his staff will show off some of their recent work. They'll also provide lunch for a small fee. It was a great time last year. Hopefully you guys can join us. The Upstate SC GM Truck Club will me in Chesnee in the morning and then cruise up to Tommy's as a group. Here's their website, and some pictures from last year. Last picture is Tommy in his shop truck. http://tommyspickupparts.com/ http://www.newcreations517.com/
